NVIDIA has officially released DLSS 4.5, making its latest image-upscaling technology available to all GeForce RTX GPU owners. This follows a beta launch last week and its initial announcement at CES. The full release delivers sharper visuals and improved temporal stability across more than 400 games and apps, a staple of NVIDIA's ongoing software strategy.

DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution uses a 2nd Generation Transformer model to reduce ghosting and enhance anti-aliasing. NVIDIA claims this new model is its most sophisticated yet, leveraging five times the compute power of its predecessor and a larger training dataset. The result is a cleaner image for gamers at higher resolutions.

Later this spring, GeForce RTX 50 Series users will receive an upgraded frame generation feature. The new Dynamic 6x Frame Generation can produce up to five extra frames for every traditionally rendered one. This aims to push path-traced performance toward 4K at 240Hz, a major target for high-end gaming hardware.
