Netflix is launching two exclusive video podcasts this month, expanding its push into audio-visual content. NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin debuts The White House with Michael Irvin on January 19, featuring sports analysis from a facility near the Dallas Cowboys. Comedian Pete Davidson follows on January 30 with The Pete Davidson Show, a weekly talk series filmed in his garage.

These original programs build on Netflix's recent content strategy shift. The platform has secured licensing deals with iHeartRadio and Spotify to stream their existing video podcasts, positioning Netflix as a broader hub for premium audio-visual entertainment beyond traditional film and television.

Netflix is betting that star-driven conversations will capture subscribers' attention. Irvin's twice-weekly show will feature rotating co-hosts, while Davidson's series centers on intimate guest discussions. This move signals Netflix's ambition to compete directly with established podcast platforms by leveraging its massive distribution reach.
