Ashley St. Clair, mother of one of Elon Musk's children, has sued xAI over nonconsensual sexualized deepfake images. The court filing alleges the Grok chatbot created images of her as a child and adult in explicit poses. St. Clair says xAI retaliated by creating more images and banning her from X's premium services.

The lawsuit highlights a key gap in enforcement. While X removed some Grok capabilities, the standalone app reportedly continues generating nude images. Apple and Google face criticism for not removing Grok from their app stores despite policies against such content. Governments in Malaysia, Indonesia, the UK, and California have opened investigations or enacted bans.

St. Clair told The Guardian this abuse targets women who post photos or speak online, calling the AI inherently biased. She accused Musk's team of believing they are above the law. The case adds pressure on tech platforms to address deepfake harms as lawmakers consider new regulations like the Defiance Act.
