Apple TV’s multiview lets fans watch up to four live sports streams side‑by‑side. The feature, first rolled out in 2023 for MLS and Friday Night Baseball, now covers MLB, MLS and Formula 1. To use it you need an Apple TV 4K and a subscription to the streaming plan.

Apple TV 4K models from any generation support the tool, though the latest 2022 third‑gen uses an older A15 chip that may soon receive an update. Consumer access is straightforward: after launching a game or race, tap the multiview icon in playback controls to pick up to three additional feeds.

For MLB, only Friday night games appear, typically two at once, and multiview shows a main feed from each plus the MLB Big Inning studio. MLS fans can line up four matches or three plus the MLS 360 show, while Formula 1 users enjoy a main race, driver tracker, telemetry and onboard cameras.

Multiview also works across other services like ESPN, YouTube TV and Fubo, but Apple’s bundle keeps the feature within a single $12.99‑per‑month plan that includes MLS, MLB and Formula 1. The addition of racing streams and driver‑centric angles expands the appeal of live sports on a streaming box, giving viewers granular control over what they watch.
