Anker unveiled its Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max earbuds during its Anker Day event, marking the debut of the company's Thus AI chip. Both models feature adaptive noise cancellation, personalized sound profiles, and advanced voice processing. The standard Liberty 5 Pro starts at $170, while the Max version costs $230.

The Thus chip combines eight microphones with two bone conduction sensors to isolate voice from background noise in challenging environments. Anker claims the system captures voice even at lower volumes in moderately quiet settings. Voice commands respond in under one second, with 20 control options available. The chip also powers adaptive ANC that processes audio 384,000 times per second.

The Liberty 5 Pro Max features a larger 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen case compared to the standard model's 0.96-inch TFT display. AI Note-Taker functionality generates meeting transcripts with speaker identification and action items through the Soundcore app. Both models support Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint connectivity, and offer 28 hours of total battery life with their charging cases.

These earbuds compete directly with premium offerings from Apple and Sony in the true wireless market. Bluetooth 6.1 support positions Anker ahead of competitors still using older wireless standards, while the bone conduction technology addresses a common pain point for remote workers.
