Akai has refreshed its MPC One sampler and MPC Key 37 workstation, swapping in 8‑core processors, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage to boost speed and project size.

The new units ship with MPC 3.9, a full linear arranger and a 7‑inch multitouch display. They support 32 virtual instruments and 16 stereo tracks, up from the original eight.

Both models connect via USB‑C, capture external audio, and bundle software including Native Instruments’ Analog Dreams. Prices start at $800 for the MPC One G2 and $1,000 for the Key 37 G2.

With these upgrades, creators can run larger, more complex projects entirely standalone, while still integrating with DAWs for extra capacity. Akai’s refresh positions the MPC line as a serious alternative to traditional studio gear.
