The Keychron Q6 HE 8K is a full-size magnetic switch mechanical keyboard with an 8K polling rate and wired USB-C connectivity. Built with a heavy aluminum case weighing 2,268g, it features a double-gasket design, double-shot PBT keycaps, and screw-in PCB stabilizers for premium durability. The keyboard ships with Keychron Ultra-fast Lime Magnetic Switches that offer adjustable actuation points from 0.1 to 3.35mm, rapid trigger, and 4-in-1 dynamic keystrokes. Hot-swappable sockets support Keychron Lime and Gateron Jade magnetic switches.

Customization runs deep through the web-based Keychron Launcher, allowing per-key RGB lighting, keymapping, macros, and actuation tuning. The tool now works smoothly on macOS after previous compatibility issues. A three-position profile switch and macOS/Windows toggle sit on the rear alongside the USB-C port.

In extended testing, the Q6 HE 8K excelled at both work and gaming. Despite its heft, it handled frequent repositioning well on a mixed workspace with a pen display. Gaming on Windows benefited from the adjustable actuation and last-key-priority features in titles like Marvel Rivals. The clickable volume knob adds a satisfying quality-of-life touch. The standard switches produce a noticeable clack; Silent Red switches are available separately for quieter operation. While only offered in black or white, the build quality justifies the premium price for users seeking a versatile, high-performance keyboard.
