Keychron has expanded its lineup with two new scissor-switch keyboards, the B40 and B39, featuring the popular Alice layout. The B40 is a 75% board, while the B39 offers an 1800 layout with a numpad. Both are priced affordably at $49.99 and $54.99 respectively, and come with pre-lubed switches and a 3.5mm travel distance.

These keyboards run on ZMK firmware, boasting impressive battery life of up to 520 hours in 2.4GHz mode despite their compact 800mAh batteries. They offer dual wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 5.2 and a 2.4GHz dongle with a 1000Hz polling rate. The construction uses ABS plastic, keeping the weight down to 595g for the B40 and 680g for the B39.

Notable features include a macro column on the left edge, a programmable knob, and LED indicators for connectivity and charging status. There's no backlighting, but the design focuses on ergonomics and functionality. Both models are now available on Keychron's official store.
