iPhone 18 Pro Rumors: A20 Chip, C2 Modem, Under-Display Face ID

Apple's iPhone 18 Pro is expected to arrive in September 2026, with the rumor mill already buzzing. The design will largely mirror the iPhone 17 Pro, featuring an aluminum frame and a 6.3-inch display. The most noticeable change will be a smaller Dynamic Island, thanks to under-display Face ID technology.

Under the hood, the A20 Pro chip will be built on a 2nm process, offering significant performance gains. Apple's in-house C2 modem may finally debut in the Pro model, and a major camera upgrade is reportedly in development. Leakers suggest the phone will come in four colors: dark red, light blue, silver, and dark gray.

Weight may increase, with the Pro Max possibly reaching 243g, making it the heaviest iPhone ever. The Camera Control button could be simplified or removed entirely. Multiple sources agree the front design will change, but the back will see only minor refinements to reduce the two-tone effect.

Overall, the iPhone 18 Pro promises incremental design updates but substantial internal improvements, including the new chip, modem, and camera system. A September 9, 2026 in-person event is rumored for the announcement.
