Samsung One UI 9 is rolling out to more devices, bringing features for both power users and lock screen enthusiasts. The update adds fun background styling and an AI-enhanced clock for the lock screen, alongside practical improvements. One of the most notable changes is the enhanced Quick Panel, now featuring a standalone dark mode button and granular resizing for controls and widgets.
Camera capabilities have also expanded, with a new 24MP resolution option sitting between the standard 12MP and 50MP settings. Users can enable this via the Good Lock Camera Assistant module. Additionally, a direct USB webcam mode simplifies using the phone's camera for video calls, while the My Fan Cam AI feature allows for aspect ratio resizing to focus on specific subjects in videos.
For interaction, a new Gesture Wake-up feature lets users summon Bixby by lifting the phone to their lips, eliminating the need for voice commands. These updates aim to make the Android interface more customizable and functional daily.
