iPhone 18 Pro Dynamic Island could shrink and move

A new leak from Jon Prosser claims the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a redesigned Dynamic Island that moves to the top-left corner and becomes significantly smaller. The change would accompany a rumored shift of the front-facing camera, creating a cleaner display appearance. Prosser's renders suggest a more compact, circular software element.

This design would likely result from Apple adopting an under-display Face ID system, reducing the hardware cutouts the Dynamic Island must camouflage. Moving the camera and island to the corner could free up more screen real estate for content. It represents a potential evolution of Apple's 2022 design choice, which merged the notch into an interactive UI element.

Prosser's track record is mixed; he accurately leaked iOS 26's Liquid Glass UI but has also missed major product designs. He's currently being sued by Apple for allegedly misappropriating trade secrets. While his sources have been credible before, this rumor remains unconfirmed until Apple's official announcement, expected in late 2026.
