Apple will use the iPhone 17 Pro to broadcast its entire coverage of the LA Galaxy versus Houston Dynamo FC MLS game on May 23, 2026. This marks the first time an iPhone has captured a complete major professional sporting event live, showcasing the device's capabilities in professional broadcasting.

Apple has progressively expanded its iPhone use in sports content after initial success with "Friday Night Baseball" in 2025. The tech company previously made all MLS games available to Apple TV subscribers for free in 2026, now offering a unique viewing experience with perspectives from the iPhone's three 48MP cameras.

The match will stream live from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California at 7:30 PM Pacific time. Viewers will see dynamic new perspectives including team warmups, player introductions, in-net goal angles, and stadium atmosphere, all captured exclusively by the iPhone 17 Pro during the final weekend of MLS play before the FIFA World Cup break.
