Major League Soccer's 31st season kicks off on February 21 with all games available exclusively through Apple TV. The streaming service has eliminated the $99 MLS Season Pass, giving subscribers in over 100 countries free access to matches without blackouts or additional fees.

This partnership represents a significant shift in sports broadcasting strategy. Previously, Apple charged $14.99 per month for the Season Pass, but removing the paywall aims to expand MLS's fanbase and simplify access. The Walmart Saturday Showdown will highlight featured matchups throughout the season with enhanced production including Shot on iPhone moments captured from dynamic angles.

All 30 MLS teams will play during MLS is Back Weekend, with 13 of 15 season openers on Saturday and two on Sunday. The season begins with St. Louis facing Charlotte at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Apple is integrating MLS content across its ecosystem through the Apple Sports app for live scores, curated playlists on Apple Music, Matchday Guides in Apple Maps, and dedicated hubs in Apple Podcasts and Apple News.
