Major League Soccer fans will get even more soccer content starting February 21 when Walmart Saturday Showdown games debut on Apple TV. The streaming service already offers free MLS games throughout 2026, with select matches highlighted in the Sunday Night Soccer programming block.

Apple's sports programming push includes using iPhones to film content for the new Saturday block, continuing its Shot on iPhone campaign. The company is producing all pre-game, half-time, and post-game segments on-site in both English and Spanish, moving away from remote production. Additional marketing includes promotional videos featuring athletes like Magic Johnson and Diego Luna.

Beyond MLS, Apple TV subscribers in the United States get free access to Formula 1 races and MLB games. The company has also partnered with EverPass to stream Apple Sports properties in commercial establishments nationwide. With successful sports-related content like the "F1" movie and potential sequels in development, Apple is clearly betting big on sports streaming as a key differentiator for its platform.
