The first release drops June 5, 2026, featuring pianist Boris Giltburg performing Beethoven's Piano Sonatas Nos. 4, 8, 9, 20, and 26, with commentary from Giltburg himself. Wigmore Hall covers production costs while ensuring 100% of streaming royalties go directly to the performing artists. This model reflects the venue's commitment to supporting musicians amid evolving digital distribution models.

Apple Music Classical, launched in 2023, has evolved with features like listening guides and CarPlay integration. The service costs $11 monthly for individual subscriptions and integrates with Apple One bundles. This partnership signals Apple's strategic move to differentiate its classical offering through exclusive, high-quality live performances rather than relying solely on existing catalog content.
