Samsung has finally launched its One UI 8.5 beta for several older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Tab S11. The company confirmed the beta rollout began on March 26, with select markets including the U.S., Korea, India, and the U.K. gaining early access. Users can enroll through Samsung's Members app.

This long-awaited beta arrives after months of anticipation from Galaxy S24 owners who've been stuck on older software versions. Samsung had previously limited One UI 8.5 beta testing to its newer Galaxy S25 series, which has already completed seven beta iterations. The company also teased that more devices will gain beta access in April, though specific models and dates remain unannounced.

For Galaxy S24 users, this beta represents a significant step toward receiving the stable One UI 8.5 update. The timing is notable since Samsung had a rocky rollout of One UI 8 last October, when it briefly pulled access due to issues. While the beta program continues for the Galaxy S25, S24 owners can now test the latest features and improvements, potentially shortening their wait for the final stable release.
