Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 Beta to More Galaxy Devices

Samsung is expanding its One UI 8.5 beta program beyond the Galaxy S26 series to include a wider range of devices. After initially launching the beta for the Galaxy S25 series and later adding the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, the company is now opening enrollment to owners of the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Galaxy S25 FE, S24 FE, and Galaxy Tab S11 through the Samsung Members app.

The beta rollout will continue expanding in April to even more Galaxy devices, though availability remains limited to select markets including India, South Korea, the UK, and the US. This phased approach allows Samsung to test the Android 16-based software on a broader range of hardware configurations before a wider release.

Beta participants can test new features like upgraded Photo Assist, enhanced Bixby capabilities, improved Quick Share, and other AI-powered tools. However, Samsung typically rolls out features gradually in beta builds, so not all capabilities will be immediately available. This expansion signals Samsung's confidence in the stability of One UI 8.5 and its strategy to gather more user feedback before the stable release reaches older devices.
