Samsung rolls out the stable One UI 8.5 update to its older flagship line, beginning with the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and the new S25 Edge on May 6, 2026. The update arrives first in South Korea, then spreads to North America, Europe, and parts of Asia.

The release follows four months of beta testing and expands the rollout to the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the Tab S11 and Tab S10 families. Availability varies by device and region, so not every model receives the same features.

A key focus is Galaxy AI, which introduces new communication and creative tools. Only Galaxy S, Tab S, and Z series devices get the full suite; recent A, F, and M series phones receive a pared‑down Awesome Intelligence set.

Despite the rollout’s staged nature, Samsung’s move should reduce the frustration that plagued earlier updates and give consumers tangible performance and interface improvements.
