Samsung Galaxy S26 Price Hike Rumors: Korea Only?

Overseas rumors suggest Samsung's Galaxy S26 series could see a ~$100/149,000 KRW price increase. Samsung is reportedly grappling with RAM and memory price pressures.

This increase has been rumored for Korean consumers; however, Samsung says nothing is finalized. A report by Hans Economy claims Samsung is internally reviewing price adjustments, potentially in October. If it happens, the Galaxy S26 could start at ~$999 and the Ultra at ~$1,400.

It's unclear if the U.S. would see the hike. Samsung already raised prices for the S26 and S26 Plus by about $100 earlier this year, while the Ultra stayed the same. The Galaxy S26 Ultra performed best, achieving 71% of sales in the first three weeks.

Android Central's Take: Price hikes are becoming the norm. Not everyone can chase every new phone, and if the majority drops out, companies will be in trouble.
