Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Pricing: Memory Costs Drive Price Hikes

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S26 series at the latest Unpacked event, featuring the Galaxy S26 Ultra alongside the standard S26 and S26+ models. The company announced pricing for multiple regions, though memory price increases have created a complex pricing landscape this year.

This year's lineup sees the base Galaxy S26 starting at 256GB storage, up from 128GB on the S25, while the S26+ maintains its 256GB base. Memory price hikes have pushed costs higher across most models, though the S26 Ultra breaks this trend with its base 12GB/256GB model actually costing less in some regions than last year's S25 Ultra. The higher storage tiers on the Ultra do cost more than before.

Pre-orders are open now with devices shipping March 11. Samsung is offering a $30/€30 discount for pre-reservation customers and free storage upgrades in some regions. The Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro were also announced at the same prices as their predecessors. The S26 Ultra stands out as the only model offering 1TB storage with 16GB RAM, though last year's prices were for the 12GB RAM version that was more commonly available.
