Google released Android 17 QPR1 Beta 5 to Pixel devices, adding the June security patch and a fix for disappearing widgets. The build, CP31.260608.007, rolls out now to enrolled users.

Beta 5 also resolves crashes that appeared while downloading mobile games and stops the Game Dashboard from hanging. A camera freeze issue and a pixelated bottom bar after waking from Always‑On Display are also addressed.

Additional changes correct a VPN timeout that stalled downloads, inconsistent charging estimates, and a Private Space crash that exposed locked apps in search. Monopoly Go no longer freezes when opening mini‑games.

These updates demonstrate Google’s ongoing refinement of Android 17 after its rocky launch that exposed 5G and display glitches. The fixes improve daily usability and reassure consumers that the OS is stabilizing.
