Android 17 Beta 7 Fixes Pixel Quick Settings Bugs

Google is releasing Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7 for Pixel 6 and newer devices, addressing several long-standing issues within the Pixel Quick Settings menu that users have reported since January. While Beta 6 achieved Platform Stability, Beta 7 focuses on resolving specific user-reported problems.

Key fixes include addressing issues with 'Battery Share from Quick Settings,' which would sometimes fail to start charging or incorrectly display charging animations. Users had reported the feature turning off immediately or showing a false wireless charging state. This beta aims to resolve "failure to start charging" and "repeatedly displayed the charging animation" errors.

Additionally, Beta 7 corrects a visual glitch where turning off Wi-Fi left an empty space between the battery and mobile data icons in the status bar. It also fixes a crash in the Quick Settings font size controller, allowing users to adjust text size from the quick access panel again. These updates come as Google approaches its first quarterly release for Android 17, expected around September, with Platform Stability achieved in Beta 6.
