Pixel 11 Pro Fold hands-on: great but can't stop thinking about Samsung

I went hands-on with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold and while it's a great phone, it feels nearly identical to last year's model. Google focused on perfecting Gemini this year, which is a smart move, but the hardware changes are minimal. The phone is about 1mm thinner than its predecessor, and the new Olive color is stunning. The crease is near non-existent and the screen feels premium.

However, after using the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, I can't stop thinking about it. Samsung's foldable is thinner, sleeker, and feels more premium. The deep purple color variant is gorgeous. This isn't to hate on the Pixel, but I kept comparing the two. Google needs to think about evolving its foldable form factor, because while the 11 Pro Fold is beautiful, it's also a bit boring.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has some advantages like built-in Qi2 magnetic charging and the Hi Light LED feature, but when I was holding it, I couldn't help thinking about Samsung's device. If I'm thinking about a different phone the whole time, something is off.
