Oura is teaming up with ResMed, a sleep technology company, to help users identify obstructive sleep apnea they might not know they have. Through the partnership, Oura Members' logged sleep data feeds into ResMed's platform, which surfaces breathing disturbances and connects users to care providers for virtual or in-person consultations.

ResMed reports that 80% of people with OSA go untreated, making early detection a serious public health gap. The new sleep assessment feature rolls out to Ring Gen 3 and Ring 4 users, offering educational resources and pathways to clinical care. Users can flag concerning nighttime breathing patterns directly through the app.

This follows Oura's recent push into broader health monitoring, including a metabolic health partnership with Vita Health and women's health features like Hormonal Birth Control support and Menopause Insights. The ResMed integration positions Oura as a screening tool for chronic conditions, not just a fitness tracker.
