Google is pushing out Android 17 Beta 4.1 to address lingering issues before the operating system's expected mid-2026 release. The update targets Pixel devices from the Pixel 6 through Pixel 10 series, along with the Pixel Tablet, and focuses specifically on accessibility and connectivity problems that have surfaced during testing.

Two firmware versions are rolling out: CP21.260330.011.A1 for Pixel 6 and 7 series users, and CP21.260330.011 for newer devices. The patch resolves a status bar bug that incorrectly showed zero signal bars despite active connections, plus fixes for hearing aid connectivity that was being lost after device inactivity or charging.

Additional fixes include mobile data Quick Settings icon synchronization during Airplane mode, external display black screen issues at high resolutions, and Bluetooth audio routing problems causing playback silence after system interruptions. Google confirmed that smartphones from Honor, Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, and other manufacturers can also participate in the Android 17 beta program.

This rapid-fire beta cycle shows Google prioritizing stability over speed, with the company already testing its first quarterly platform release alongside the main beta. The aggressive timeline suggests Android 17 could align with the rumored Pixel 10 series launch.
