The Outsiders 1.7.6 Adds Breakdown, Sharing, Relative Intensity

Gentler Stories released version 1.7.6 of The Outsiders, its exercise-tracking app for high-performance athletes. The update renames the Splits interface to Breakdown, expanding it with detailed workout data including intervals, manually marked segments, and equal-distance splits for running, cycling, and swimming.

New customizable sharing options let users post training sessions with different map styles (light, dark, satellite), personalized backgrounds, and filtered statistics. The company describes it as a "minimalistic yet stylish way to share your training sessions" with a clean aesthetic similar to its sister app, Gentler Streak.

Runners now gain the Relative Intensity metric, previously for cyclists, comparing average heart rate to lactate threshold heart rate to show effort relative to personal limits. Temperature data from non-Apple Watch devices syncing via Apple Health now appears automatically. The Personal Goals UI also received a refresh for smoother goal-setting.

The Outsiders is free on the App Store with monthly, yearly, and lifetime subscriptions. The update also fixes a Workouts tab glitch.
