Rode has launched the RodeCaster Video Core, a $599 hardware mixer that integrates iPhone and Mac video switching, audio mixing, recording, and streaming into a single console. The device works with the free Rode Capture app to transform an iPhone into a dedicated production camera, allowing creators to build flexible setups without dedicated video equipment.

This console targets creators who already rely on Apple devices, enabling seamless integration of iPhone cameras into video workflows. The RodeCaster Video Core supports up to four simultaneous video feeds and includes scene building, transitions, graphics overlays, and automated switching based on active speakers. Video can stream directly to platforms like YouTube and Twitch or record locally.

The all-in-one design combines tools normally spread across multiple pieces of hardware. It features two studio-grade combo inputs for microphones or instruments, built-in audio processing including EQ and compression, and extensive connectivity options including HDMI, USB-C, and Ethernet ports. Creators can also connect multiple RodeCaster consoles through RodeCaster Sync for larger productions.
