Rodecaster Video Core is a compact, affordable HD video production console designed to make livestreaming more accessible for creators on a budget. Positioned below the flagship Rodecaster Video and its mid-range sibling, the Video S, this new unit targets newcomers to video production or those with existing audio gear who want to expand into HD video. A significant shift is the reliance on the Rodecaster App for all control, eliminating physical hardware buttons.

Connectivity options include three HDMI-in, one HDMI-out, four USB-C, two 3.5mm, and two Neutrik combo ports. Users can connect up to four video sources via USB-C or use network cameras via Ethernet. The Rode Capture app enables wireless iOS device feeds, and automatic feed switching based on audio inputs reduces manual management. For existing audio console owners (Rodecaster Pro 2 or Duo), the Rodecaster Sync app allows integration, enabling shortcuts and a unified desk setup.

Available for pre-order at $599, the core streams directly to platforms like YouTube and Twitch, supports external drive recording, and includes firmware updates for EDL files in DaVinci Resolve. It also handles non-standard social media resolutions automatically. No global release date is announced yet.
