Major League Baseball fans now have a more immediate way to follow games. The MLB app recently updated to include a new home screen widget for iPhone and iPad users. This widget provides real-time score updates, daily matchups, and final game results directly on the device's home screen, simplifying score tracking.

Adding the widget is straightforward: users long-press their home screen, tap the plus icon, search for MLB, and select their preferred widget size. The widget's displayed information dynamically adjusts based on the user's favorite teams set within the app. Users can also edit the widget on the fly to switch focus to a different team.

This update enhances the MLB app's existing comprehensive feature set, which already supports devices like Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. The app is available for download on the App Store. Apple's own Sports app has also seen consistent improvements, offering an alternative for sports enthusiasts.
