Apple rolled out version 3.10 of its Sports app, adding real‑time weather data for Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends and introducing compact widgets for iPhone Home Screen and CarPlay. The new widget displays scores for selected leagues, letting users glance at results without opening the full app. CarPlay users access it by swiping right to the Dashboard on iOS 26.

The update also nudges fans toward the upcoming World Cup 2026, offering a dedicated view to follow favorite national teams and explore group standings before the tournament kicks off on June 11. Apple Sports, launched in 2024, already covers major properties such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, Premier League and PGA Tour, extending its relevance across markets in North America, Europe and Latin America.

Smaller widgets now appear on CarPlay’s Dashboard, meaning drivers can keep tabs on game scores while navigating. By bundling live weather for F1 tracks with the World Cup preview, Apple positions the Sports app as a one‑stop hub for both motorsport enthusiasts and global football followers. The move reinforces Apple’s broader strategy to deepen services integration across its ecosystem.
