Apple TV continues expanding its sci-fi universe with two major spinoff series announced for beloved hits. Star City, a For All Mankind spinoff, debuts May 29, offering a Soviet perspective on the alternate space race. The series explores the lives of cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers behind the Iron Curtain.

For All Mankind itself remains active with season 5 premiering later this month. Star City will launch immediately after that season concludes, with two episodes dropping May 29 and weekly releases continuing through July 10. The alt-history thriller shifts focus from American astronauts to the Soviet space program's key moment when they first landed on the moon.

Meanwhile, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is getting its first spinoff starring Wyatt Russell as young Lee Shaw. Set in 1984, the prequel follows an American operative on a secret mission to stop the Soviets from unleashing a massive new Titan during the Cold War. Showrunner Joby Harold will oversee this Monsterverse addition, though release timing hasn't been shared yet. Both spinoffs demonstrate Apple TV's commitment to building expansive sci-fi franchises rather than standalone originals.
