Apple Creator Studio AI Limits Fall Far Short of Promises

Apple's Apple Creator Studio subscription is facing backlash after users discovered AI usage limits that fall dramatically short of what the company promised. Developer Steve Troughton-Smith reported that creating a single Keynote presentation consumed 47% of his monthly AI allocation, meaning he could only produce two presentations per month despite Apple's claim of a 50-presentation minimum.

Troughton-Smith contrasted this with Xcode's Codex feature, which used only 7% of his weekly limit to build an entire UIKit timeline app. This disparity seems counterintuitive, as complex app development should theoretically require more AI resources than creating presentations. John Gruber noted the limits appear reversed from what users would reasonably expect.

The discrepancy is particularly striking given Apple's own examples used 8-10 slide presentations to calculate the 50-presentation figure. Users can check their current usage through Pages, Numbers, or Keynote by navigating to Intelligence Features and selecting Show Usage Status. The revelation has sparked discussion among subscribers about the true value of the Creator Studio subscription.
