Previously, Apple's AI could scan inboxes for order information and populate the Wallet app, making it a convenient way to track purchases from various retailers without explicit integration. However, Amazon is now altering its order-related emails to describe products using vague category terms instead of specific details.

For instance, an order for diapers might now be listed as "Drugstore Items." This change renders the Apple Wallet order tracking feature largely useless for Amazon shoppers, as the Wallet app cannot display product information if it's not present in the original email. This downgrade is particularly frustrating for frequent Amazon customers who relied on these notifications for ease of tracking, and there appears to be no way to revert to the previous, more detailed email format or opt out of the change.
