Toyota Cuts bZ Woodland Prices to Battle Subaru

Toyota slashed prices on the bZ Woodland to compete with Subaru's Trailseeker, offering $6,500 in lease cash and $5,000 customer rebates. The 2026 model now starts at $45,300 before incentives, with financing deals including 0% APR for 72 months. These discounts expire March 2, addressing Toyota's pricing disadvantage against Subaru's mechanically similar but cheaper Trailseeker.

Despite sharing nearly identical specs—including dual motors producing 375 horsepower, 74.7-kWh batteries, and all-wheel drive—the Trailseeker undercuts Toyota on price and range. Subaru's entry model starts at $39,995, undercutting the bZ Woodland's base price by over $5,000, while delivering superior 280-mile range versus the bZ's 260-mile range.

Subaru's pricing advantage persists across trim levels, with the Trailseeker Limited at $43,995 offering comparable features to Toyota's base model. Both vehicles include 14-inch touchscreens, heated seats, and wireless charging. Toyota's discounts narrow but don't eliminate Subaru's value proposition, leaving brand loyalty as the primary reason for choosing the bZ Woodland.
