A Pittsburgh man is behind bars after being arrested for an armed robbery at Sonny's Tavern in Bloomfield. Karl Hough, 61, was taken into custody on Saturday following the Thursday morning incident that left two victims injured and $6,300 stolen from business safes.

According to police reports, Hough and an unidentified accomplice entered the tavern at 10 a.m., with one victim recognizing Hough as a frequent customer. The suspects allegedly used firearms during the robbery, with one victim sustaining visible head and cheek wounds from being struck with a gun. The robbers stole cash, phones, credit cards, a wallet, and keys but were unable to access the cash register.

Hough faces multiple felony charges including aggravated assault, robbery, theft, and firearms violations. Police noted Hough's slurred and distinctive speech helped identify him during the incident. He is currently being held at Allegheny County Jail. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect involved in the armed robbery that occurred on the 600 block of South Millvale Avenue.
