The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired quarterback Quinn Ewers from the Miami Dolphins on Saturday, sending a sixth-round pick in 2028 to Miami. Ewers, played in four games last season and completed 66.3% of his passes. Elsewhere, coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that he “fully anticipates” Josh Jacobs being on the Packers’ roster, one day after the running back was charged with two misdemeanors related to an alleged incident earlier this year.

Roster Cuts and Trades

The Buffalo Bills released veteran returner and wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. and punter Mitch Wishnowsky, a source confirmed to ESPN. Dallas shored up its line by acquiring 2023 first-round pick Broderick Jones from the Steelers, sending a 2027 third- and sixth-round pick in exchange for Jones and a fourth-rounder in 2027. The Giants reunited with defensive tackle CJ Okoye, after the Ravens dealt the reserve to New York for a 2028 seventh-round pick. Carolina signed veteran inside linebacker Bobby Okereke to a one-year deal, while the Raiders face tough calls during roster cutdowns, including whether to keep three quarterbacks.

Six NFL teams now use GoPro cameras on quarterbacks for practice and film study, but coaches say the footage is more about communication than broadcast. Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley says success isn’t “just defined by winning” this season, emphasizing development.
