L Catterton has led a Series A investment in Remedy Science, the dermatologist-developed skincare brand founded in March 2024. The consumer-focused private equity firm, which manages roughly $40 billion in equity capital, is backing the science-driven beauty company as it scales operations and expands its product offerings.

Founded by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Muneeb Shah, Remedy has quickly gained traction across multiple channels including its direct-to-consumer website, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Target stores. The brand addresses common skin concerns like dark spots, dryness, and fine lines with clinically-formulated products positioned as both effective and affordable.

The funding will support Remedy's next growth phase, including advancing clinical research, expanding its product pipeline, and strengthening inventory to meet demand. Dr. Shah, who educates consumers through his 20 million-following platform, created the brand to modernize dermatologist-developed skincare based on real patient needs.

L Catterton's investment portfolio includes beauty brands such as Merit Beauty, TULA, and Elemis. This deal reflects the firm's continued bet on the dermocosmetics market, where demand for clinically-grounded, accessible products continues growing.
