South Korea's Si-Woo Kim holds a one-shot lead at 22 under after the third round of the American Express in California. The 28-year-old carded a 66 with seven birdies, putting him ahead of world number one Scottie Scheffler and 18-year-old prodigy Blades Brown at 21 under. Kim is chasing his second win at this event.

Scheffler, making his season debut, shot a 68 on the Pete Dye Stadium Course. He acknowledged the challenging wind conditions but remains in striking distance. Teenager Brown, who could become the second-youngest PGA Tour winner, electrified the crowd with a 44-foot birdie on the 18th hole. His five birdies included three on the final three holes.

The tournament's unique format sees players rotate courses for the first three rounds. Kim played at La Quinta Country Club, while Scheffler and Brown tackled the tougher Stadium Course. All three will now head to the final round at PGA West's Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course, where the winner will be decided.
