Rylands Garth, representing the claimants, has contested any attempt to remove cases and accused rugby's governing bodies of deliberate delay tactics. The firm stated defendants are seeking access to confidential documents covered by legal privilege, not medical records. "They also know the scale of the task the claimants and the legal team have undertaken for full disclosure," the spokesperson said.

Former England Rugby World Cup winners Steve Thompson, Mark Regan and Phil Vickery headline the claimants, alongside Wales internationals Colin Charvis, Gavin Henson, Ryan Jones, Lee Byrne and Alix Popham. They allege World Rugby, the RFU, WRU and RFL failed to implement proper safeguards protecting players from neurological conditions caused by repeated head impacts. All defendants deny liability.
