Team GB skier Gus Kenworthy has received death threats after posting an anti-ICE message on Instagram ahead of the Winter Olympics in Italy. The 34-year-old, who was born in Chelmsford but grew up in America, shared a graphic image criticizing the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Kenworthy, who won silver in ski slopestyle at Sochi 2014 before switching to Team GB in 2019, said he's received messages telling him to kill himself and wishing injury upon him during competition. The British Olympic Association confirmed they have support services in place for athletes facing social media abuse.

Other Olympic athletes have also spoken out about ICE actions, with Team USA skiers Chris Lillis and Hunter Hess expressing concerns about representing the United States given current tensions. The International Olympic Committee is using AI to monitor social media for abusive posts directed at athletes during the Games.
