Her Glasgow win marks her first outdoor title in the 800m, an event where Hodgkinson is the reigning Olympic champion. In the absence of the favored Hodgkinson, Hunter Bell controlled the race, pulling away in the final 200m to win comfortably. While Hodgkinson is focusing on the upcoming European Championships, Hunter Bell will compete in the 1500m, missing a direct clash.
