Georgia Hall is set to compete in the AIG Women's Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes, five months after giving birth to her son, Conor. This marks her return to the venue where she secured her greatest golfing triumph in 2018, becoming the most recent British female player to win a major title.

Hall's journey back to the course began six weeks after childbirth, and encouraging practice sessions led her to consider this comeback. She has since competed on the Ladies European Tour, making cuts in several events. She drew inspiration from Catriona Matthew, who won the Women's Open at Lytham in 2009 just 11 weeks after her second child's birth.

Matthew advised Hall to manage expectations, acknowledging the challenges of returning after childbirth. Hall, who is engaged to Paul Dunne, a golfer with notable amateur and professional achievements, is embracing the experience with her family. Despite the course being significantly more challenging this year, Hall is focused on improvement and believes her game is in good shape.
