Great Britain's track cyclists delivered a dominant performance at the Track World Cup in Hong Kong, securing nine medals including two golds from Olympic silver medallist Matt Richardson. The 27-year-old sprinter, who celebrated his birthday on Friday, claimed victory in the men's sprint and anchored the team sprint alongside Joe Truman and Harry Ledingham-Horn.

Richardson's success builds on his recent European title win in Turkey and marks another milestone in his career since switching from Australia to Great Britain. Olympic champion Harrie Lavreysen of the Netherlands finished only fifth, while Richardson defeated Japan's Kaiya Ota in the final. Emma Finucane also shone for Britain, winning gold in the women's sprint and adding silver in the team event with Rhianna Parris-Smith and Lauren Bell.

Finucane dominated her sprint final against Mina Sato with a 2-0 victory and secured bronze in the keirin. Debutants Erin Boothman and Maddie Leech impressed, with Boothman earning silver in the women's madison alongside Leech, who also took silver in the team pursuit. The results highlight Britain's resurgence in track cycling ahead of major championships.
