Frank Warren's $1bn Zuffa Boxing Legal Battle

Veteran boxing promoter Frank Warren has confirmed he is considering legal action against Saudi-owned Sela and TKO Group Holdings over the launch of Zuffa Boxing. Warren alleges the new promotional company breached existing contracts by forming behind his back, potentially costing his Queensberry Promotions up to $1 billion in lost earnings.

Warren has enjoyed a successful partnership with Turki Alalshikh and Sela in recent years, most notably organizing Tyson Fury's fight against Francis Ngannou in 2023. However, tensions arose when Dana White's Zuffa Boxing was jointly formed by Sela and TKO, which also owns the UFC and WWE. In response, Warren's team sent "letters before action" to both companies.

Despite the dispute, Warren maintains his working relationship with Sela will continue unaffected. "We will do what we continue to do and that is put on great shows," he stated, referencing upcoming events in Dublin, Germany, and Manchester. The legal action follows Warren's limited involvement in Fury's Netflix comeback fight, which was primarily organized by Sela and Netflix with Zuffa Boxing handling promotional duties instead of Queensberry.
