British rally champion William Creighton, 28, is swapping his British Rally Championship title for a debut season in the European Rally Championship. After clinching two wins and two podiums to secure the UK crown last year, the former Junior British and World champion will launch his ERC campaign in Andalucía from 17‑19 April. Creighton calls the move the “right step” toward higher competition.

Teamed with co‑driver Liam Regan, Creighton will run for Stellantis Motorsport, starting the season in a Citroen C3 before switching to a Lancia midway. Michelin tyres will stay on the cars throughout. The opener sees a seventh‑place finish in the Rallye da Llana warm‑up, and the calendar heads to Sweden, Rome, Poland and the Czech Republic before closing in Wales and Portugal.

Creighton joins a strong NI contingent that includes World Rally Championship drivers Josh McErlean and Jon Armstrong, as well as ERC regulars Phillip Allen and Irish Tarmac champion Callum Devine. He says the sport’s shifting rules and younger rivals demand seizing the moment, hoping strong performances will reopen doors to the world stage. A solid ERC debut will cement his reputation among Europe’s elite.
