Caitlin Clark slammed a fist in the air after a non‑call midway through the second quarter of the Indiana Fever's 88‑75 loss to the Golden State Valkyries. She hit the floor after contact with Kiah Stokes, but the basket counted with no foul called.

The frustration boiled over as Clark limped back to the defensive end, then turned toward an official. "The ref can't miss that… then I have to play with a contusion in my leg the rest of the game," she said. She finished with 13 points, six assists and three rebounds in 26 minutes, shooting 4‑for‑14 from the field.

The Valkyries’ defense, which has held opponents to 75 points or fewer 12 times this season, fueled an eight‑game win streak—one of the longest in the league. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 20 points, while Aliyah Boston added 15 and seven rebounds.

Coaches emphasized consistency and preparation. Fever coach Stephanie White noted the team’s need for uniformity in calls, while Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase said, "We have to get better."
