ESPN surveyed league executives, coaches and scouts to rank the top 10 wide receivers for the 2026 season. More than 70 voters submitted ballots, and the results were compiled by voting frequency, composite averages and interviews with ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen.

The top spot went to Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, who earned about 70% of first‑place votes despite finishing third in catches (125) and fourth in receiving yards (1,412) last season. Chase’s 6,837 career yards rank second among players in their first five seasons. #2 was Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, whose 8,480 yards are the most in the first six seasons of any player in NFL history.

Other top picks included Jaxon Smith‑Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks, who led the league with 1,793 yards in 2025, and Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams, who totaled 129 catches last year. The rankings highlight the depth of the receiver position, which remains bringt the highest pay scale after quarterbacks and edge rushers.

ESPN’s series is not a five‑year projection but a snapshot of the best players right now, providing teams with insights as they prepare for the 2026 training camps.
