Rangers have completed the signing of Kosta Nedeljkovic on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, with the Ibrox club holding a conditional obligation to make the deal permanent. The 20-year-old Serbia defender, who joined Aston Villa from Red Star Belgrade in January 2024, has previous loan experience with RB Leipzig.

Manager Derek McInnes described Nedeljkovic as an athletic and energetic full-back who is keen to get forward but also has a strong defensive desire. McInnes believes the player will strengthen a key area for the club.

Nedeljkovic made just six appearances for RB Leipzig last season due to knee and back injuries, though he previously made 10 outings for Aston Villa across all competitions. He becomes Rangers' 11th summer arrival and will link up with international teammate Vanja Dragojevic.

"Rangers is such a big club, a big family, and I am excited to join and help the team have success together," said Nedeljkovic. "For me, it was an easy decision after meeting with the coach; I only wanted Rangers."
