Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen says the long‑awaited takeover will be finalised before Saturday’s clash with West Bromwich Albion. A sell‑out crowd is expected at Hillsborough as Arise Capital Partners founder David Storch, his son Michael and partner Tom Costin take their seats. Pedersen believes the American consortium will sign the deal before kickoff.

The consortium faces a 1 May deadline to complete the purchase, a move designed to sidestep the Independent Football Regulator’s intervention next week. Wednesday remain in administration after previous owner Dejphon Chansiri’s financial breaches, which left the club docked 18 points. Pedersen hopes the new ownership will end that saga quickly.

Pedersen admits emotions will run high, saying fans may even weep after a season described as “nightmare”. He stresses a human‑first philosophy championed by the new board, promising that “top humans” will drive the club forward. A victory at home would validate the owners’ presence in the stands.

A win would mark Wednesday’s first Championship home triumph of the campaign and give the squad momentum heading into a summer rebuild. Pedersen warns the task is massive, but believes the partnership with the American investors offers the resources to assemble a competitive side. The upcoming match could become a symbolic fresh start.
