Sheffield Wednesday has completed a takeover by Arise Capital Partners, ending Dejphon Chansiri's ownership. The US consortium led by 73-year-old aviation executive David Storch finalized the deal on Friday, with EFL confirming the news Saturday. Storch's son Michael and Tom Costin complete the three-man group, bringing fresh hope to the relegated club.

The Owls entered administration October 24, resulting in an immediate 12-point deduction and eventual relegation to League One with 13 games remaining. Chansiri received a three-year ban from owning EFL clubs after charges related to missed payments. The EFL waived an additional 15-point deduction due to what they called an "incredibly challenging situation."

Despite budget restrictions for the next two seasons, the club can now sign new players. Chansiri had rejected multiple offers during his ownership, with Storch stepping in after initially missing out on preferred bidder status. The new ownership arrives ahead of a sold-out final-day game against West Brom, bringing an end to one of English football's most turbulent ownership eras.
